Spearhead is a coordinated onsite assessment of a manufacturing operation that provides reports and analyses via a dynamic dashboard. The process involves people whose opinions are valued in either setting business aspirations or determining the current state. Questionnaires are assigned to selected people to establish the strategic aspirations and current state of manufacturing. Financial data is captured to calculate the potential gross margin improvement for achieving aspirational goals. The process is coordinated via the Spearhead dashboard and once complete, reports are generated to display, analyse and download.
The questionnaire focuses on seven components that influence operational and financial performance. These components are divided into six sub-components, each with five levels of grading. For each sub-component, an assignee contributes by either setting an aspiration level, a current state or both. The assignments are consolidated via the site dashboard to achieve a collective result.
The dashboard manages the completion of the assessment and when finished, enables quick access to analytics and reports.
